Pregnancy

You can eat candied fruit while pregnant, in moderation. They may contain sulphites or preservatives like sodium benzoate that are unsafe for you and your developing baby. Also, because they are high in sugar, candied fruits are not suitable for those at risk of gestational diabetes. Best to eat fresh fruit.

Postpartum

You should avoid eating candied fruits postpartum. Although they are tasty, they are high in sugar and contain sulphites, preservatives, and/or benzoate, all of which are harmful for your recovering body.

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding mothers should limit their consumption of candied fruits. Additives in candied fruits, as they contain no significant nutrition. They may includes harmful sulphates and benzoates.

Baby

Candied fruits are unsuitable for babies and children.
