Cribs Vs Playard/Pack and Play for newborns

Hi! I am contemplating between buying a crib and Playard for newborn. Kindly share your experiences

I have a crib, my son doesnt really like it since birth. Ended up its good for me to wipe him and change him on the crib mostly. Now the crib is just where I put his pillows and soft toys.
