Does breastfeed infant need vitamins?

Paeds provide my 4 months baby with NUTROPLEX with iron & lysine. I thought breast milk is the perfect food complete with vitamins he could need. But paeds inform that it doesn’t contain enough iron. Any mommies out there supply vitamins to 4 months baby?
