Milk for 1 year old
My baby just turned 1 and the polyclinic doctor mentioned I could start introducing UHT milk. For my baby doctor says I can give 500-750mls of milk/day. I thought formula milk is better since it has all the necessary vitamins for baby? Anybody still gives formula milk? And how much are you giving? I noticed the recommendation on the formula tin says 2 feeds per day. But I feel that’s too little? My baby is on the smaller side, 8kg, polyclinic nurse says it’s fine. So I thought the formula milk would be a good supplement for weight gain
Supplements for 1 year
Has anyone given the following supplements for their 1 year old? Sambucol drops (for immunity) Biogaia probiotics (for gut health) DHA drops by Nordic Naturals (for brain development) I’m thinking to start the following supplements when my baby turns 1 year old. The first 2 is in preparation for building immunity for school when baby goes in at 18 months. DHA I heard some good things. Is it ok to start all 3 supplements? Please share your thoughts or other recommendations.
Application for playgroup through ECDA
I have applied my interest for 1 preschool next year November. How long does it take for the centre to contact regarding placement? Should I do anything more? As would really prefer to send my kid to that one particular preschool. Should I apply interested for multiple preschool just to be safe?
Is it ok to change formula?
My baby is currently on Fairprice Gold Stage 2 formula. However, she seems to be liking it less as she doesn’t finish her milk. Is it ok to change the formula to those cheaper brands such as Grow or Dulac?
Should I change formula?
My baby is 27days old and I am feeding her natureone premium formula. Her stool today is more form than other days and she did not have a bowel movement yesterday. She also appear to be straining a lot when passing this stool. Last week, there were 2 days of this type of stool but small amount followed by her soft mushy yellow stool. Otherwise, rest of the days stool is soft and mushy. Is this constipation normal? Also, should I consider changing her formula? My supply is low hence supplementing with formula.
