Having a nonstop cough. Does anyone have a natural remedy tips other than cough syrup?

I’m in my 7th month pregnancy and fell sick the other day, and while I’m getting better, I’m still suffering from a nonstop coughing and worries it might affect my baby. I’m taking cold syrup now after seeing a doctor, but is there any other way to stop it? Thank you!
