We were lucky enough to complete Elise's early childhood vaccines before the pandemic happened. But it doesn't mean that we no longer need to get her vaccinated after that. Bcos of the pandemic we got scared to go outside and scared to visit the hospitals but we still tried to keep up bcos we know how important her other vaccines are like the annual flu and booster shots that she needs. 💉👩👧 I wouldn't know anything about it and how important it is if I didn't join TEAM BAKUNANAY on Facebook. I am glad that this community helped me get the right information I need about my daughter's vaccines. If you are a first-time mom like me, who needs help and guidance when it comes to your child's vaccine, I am inviting you to become a BakuNanay too, where you can learn from the experts and get only the precise information about vaccines. Also, you can gain a lot of pro-vaccine mom friends too! Make sure to answer the membership questions mommy! 💙💚🧡 @theasianparent_ph @vipparentsph #TeamBakuNanay #ProudToBeABakuNanay #AllAboutBakuna #HealthierPhilippines #VaccineWorkForAll
Read moreFlashback Friday to Elise 2nd birthday 📸 Nothing can beat this celebration on my list that I look forward to every year. 👨👩👧💞 I am a very hands-on momma, so I always do the planning. I also love DIYs bcos for me it's more memorable. Nothing fancy and all are made with love. From preparation like venue hunting, birthday theme, food menu, and dessert station, etc down to her special day. I DO everything. 🧏🏼♀️🎊 And of course, since MAY is Elise's birthday, I am also reminded that after it is FLU Season already ( JUNE-JULY ) and that means that we have to get our annual FLU SHOT. 💉💪🏻📅🖍 I can still remember from one of our BAKUNANAY Famhealthy episodes I learned that it's important that we prep ourselves and our family before the FLU season and get the extra protection that we need. This is also a very important TO-DO on my list, to set the schedule for our family & get the FLU shot especially during this time of the pandemic. Our daughter cannot protect herself, she doesn't know yet how to wear a mask and she's still trying to wear a face shield but she can get vaccinated and protected with the flu vaccine. And as her parents, we will do everything we can to protect her. I am thankful for TEAM BAKUNANAY Community bcos I always get accurate information about vaccines. Be a BakuNanay and join the Team BakuNanay Facebook group where you can learn from the experts and get the right information about vaccines. @theasianparent_ph @vipparentsph #TeamBakuNanay #ProudToBeABakuNanay #AllAboutBakuna #HealthierPhilippines #vaccineworkforall
Read moreRAINY SEASON, MEANS LAMOK SEASON, and I fear this! 🤯🦟 The rainy season is finally upon us. While this may be good considering the long and very dry summer we had, the rainy days also indicate the peak of the diseases that we can get from mosquito bites. As moms, we need to be cautious about this. Join us this coming Monday, JUNE 28, 6 PM for another Famhealthy episode, topic is "LAMOKS not OKS: Mga Paalala Tungkol Sa Mga Sakit na Galing sa Lamok" Hosted again by Dr. Ging Zamora along with resource speaker Dr. Jo Janette de la Calzada, Pedia-neurologist. This is Live on @theasianparent_ph Philippines Facebook page. Save the date mommies! Read moreHey moms! It's time for a celebration! 💪🏻🎉 Why? Bcos The World Health Organization and the Department of Health announced that the polio outbreak in the country is finally OVER! If you can still remember, there was a resurgence of polio in our country last September 2019 after 2 decades of declaring the Philippines as polio-free. And this made the health workers from our local health centers during that time, do a house to house just to give each child a polio vaccine. It was indeed alarming. The poliovirus usually affects children under 5 years of age who are not fully vaccinated. Our children need both Inactivated Polio Vaccine ( IPV ) and Oral Polio Vaccine ( OPV ) to ensure their protection against polio. That's why they must complete their polio vaccine. If you are a new mom, I encourage you to get your child vaccinated. Our country has immunization schedules that all of us follow. Also, please do invite other fellow mommas to get their children vaccinated. Let's do our part and be responsible parents to protect our kids and our communities from these deadly diseases. For more information about the Polio vaccine, you may ask your doctor or health care provider about it. We also have an FB Group the Team BakuNanay. - a community, where moms get accurate information about vaccination, and all new moms and moms who are not yet a BakuNanay, are very welcome to JOIN. Just head on to this link 🔗 https://www.facebook.com/groups/bakunanay Have a great weekend to all our wonderful pro-vaccine mommas! 💉💪🏻👩👧👦 @theasianparent_ph @vipparentsph #TeamBakuNanay #ProudtobeABakuNanay #AllAboutBakuna #HealthierPhilippines #vaccinesworkforall
