Baby still not speaking

Hello! My baby is turning 17 months. Is it normal that he is still not talking? Thank you!

but can he baby talk like mumbles, makes sounds, hums? they can respond nonverbally at this age. but they can start to learn few simple words, by imitating. keep on talking to him. you can introduce words while playing, so that it will be fun for him. we also use baby books and flashcards. you may also consult pedia.
