based from experience, i also have a 3yo. my child has postnasal drip or due to allergens that caused mucus production. walang naririnig ang pedia thru stethoscope tuwing visit namin so no concern sa lungs. so its upper respiratory. she advised antihistamine for the allergy. pero since hindi naman lagi, hindi namin pinapainom. she also advised to always clean the room and aircon. buksan ang room to let the air flow. so i do that, which also helps. every morning lang namin naririnig ang halak but nothing for the rest of the day. again, minsan lang. dumedede pa rin sia pero i make sure na slightly elevated and higa nia to prevent halak din. you may want to consult pedia to assess.
