Putting baby down while sleepy but not asleep

Almost every article I've read says to put baby down while sleepy but not yet asleep. I find this impossible to do with my almost 3 month old baby! She's wide awake the moment her back touches the bed! Am I the only one who can't do this? How do you moms manage?

Pillows lang po talaga. Both sides and sa paa 😂 ganyan din problem ko before pero yun yung technique ni mama ko. gusto ng baby na parang may masubsob mukha niya and also lagyan mo ng tela na medyo makapal para feeling ni baby karga mo pa rin sya try mo lang po
