Ingredients

1 cup chicken stock

½ cup dry couscous

1 tbsp butter

1 small onion , finely chopped

75 g frozen peas

Pinch of sugar

Pinch of salt

¼ cup water

30 g diced ham

Salt and sugar to taste

In a saucepan, bring chicken stock to a boil. Remove from heat and pour over couscous. Stir, and let sit for about 5 minutes.

Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Saute the onion until translucent and soft, about 3 minutes. Add the peas, sugar, salt, and water. Lower the heat. Cover and continue to cook for about 3 more minutes.

Using a fork, fluff up the couscous. Stir in the onion and peas mixture, as well as the ham. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
