Just to add on, you can also register conviniently at KKH before you discharge from the hospital. It's instant, so you'd get your baby's birth cert right away. What I did was to get my ex-husband to go register the birth cert while we wait for the hospital to "check out" since they usually take so long. This way, we can also register for CDA & baby bonus without making another trip to the ICA for the birth cert.
