Touch and feel books are good as they are developing their hand and eye coordination. Books with a variety of colours and also that focus on emotions and faces. Model the faces as it helps to develop their language and social emotional skills. Indestructible books are great since at this age they like to crumple, throw and put things in their mouth. These books can withstand all those. From what I learnt in child development psychology, it doesn't really matter which books because what babies need at this stage is constant 2-way communication so it shouldn't be a 1-way reading but respond to ur baby's actions and sounds when u read to him/her. Keep reading the same books too. Reading sessions shld be short but repeat it throughout the day if u can.
