Separation anxiety

Hi At what age does baby separation anxiety from parents or caregiver gone away? My boy is currently 8 months but recently whenever we walked away and leave him alone in the playpen he will cry and scream

my baby now 9 month still show separation anxiety when i leave him with my mil to go work. it gets better everyday. the cries becomes lesser. i will talk to him everyday to explain i have to work and will come bring him home later
