Usually for Japan, do you get SIM card or those wifi egg rental for family use?? Any recommendation to make things easier and fuss free

Pocket WiFi is easy. Just rent at changi airport(pre book in advance), pick up before your flight and able to use immediately when you arrive in Japan. Can share with family members, just key in the password given.
