Discuss about emotions. Encourage them to think about how others feel in different situations. Storybook is one of the ways to teach them.

My son's yearly report book always indicates helpful or willingly help classmates and teachers since primary 1. He is now in sec 1

being a role model would be always works but it is always better to reinforce that with reading books as well

Story book and socialising with others as it definitely helps develop empathy in kids :)

Bringing them for play dates also helps to be aware of their surroundings

Read them stories and of course set a good example ourselves
