Listen...if your child wakes up in the middle of the night and wakes you (parents) up they need assurance, warmth and comfort...would you rather be deprived of your sleep or allow your child to grow up deprived of love, hugs...all that makes them a better all round person as an adult. If your child wakes up early in the morning before you...then its probably time for you to get up too and make bfast...have an early start to the day is good...you can catch up and sleep all you want when they are grown.

I still prefer to follow his cues and this allowed him to build his afternoon and night sleep
