Absolutely. I am a Singaporean who has lived in London, New York and Tokyo. The thing I appreciate best about home is that we have subsidised help (Fdw) and subsidised day care (preschool) which allows mums to get back into the work force. Help at home will cost $700 and daycare about $1,000 after the subsidies. The price of a daily nanny in London is like 2,000 pounds and she does not live with you. In the US a day nanny is also between $2,000-$3,000 usd. Take home Salaries are not that much higher after deducting taxes for the average Uni grad. So it just doesn't make sense for the average Uni educated career mum to go back to work. Vs in Singapore where the average Uni graduate makes between 4-6k and good quality help 24 hours a day would cost less than 2k. So effectively a graduate woman doesn't have to give up her career unless she chooses to in Singapore.

These are perceived. Even with policies in place in the companies, it is not really truly encouraged or welcomed in the workplace by managers, bosses and even colleagues. - work life balance - maternity leave - parental leave - breastfeeding

Singapore is great. So many free activities like museums to visit and gardens to visit to entertain the kids. So safe as well, education is so affordable. It’s fantastic!
Disagree. It’s good but I think the work culture here and the education pressure cooker system won’t make it the best. Still, grateful for what we have.
We don't live in other countries. So we don't really know how is the lifestyle there. We can't comment blindly or just listen to a one sided review.
There pros and cons Everyday. I can only say Singapore Can be quite challenging cuz everyone is comparing
