My pregnancy test came out positive, but the ultrasound was not very clear. My gynae is now giving me hormonal injections to help the foetus grow. Is it a common thing to do? I am a little worried.

Don't worry as nothing would be visible on ultrasound until your HCG levels reach 2000 which is usually around 6 weeks. Your gynecologist might be giving you progesterone injections. During pregnancy, the hormone progesterone plays an essential role in helping your baby grow. It will also prevent any infection at the injection site and decrease the risk of pregnancy loss.
