Bleeding belly button in 2 weeks old

Hello, is it normal for baby’s belly button to bleed one week after his umbilical cord stump fall off? #1stimemom #firstbaby

Hey… clean the area and monitor if it continues to ooze. It should completely heal 2 weeks after the stump falls off.

Clean the blood off with cotton swab and water . If still got bleeding or got pus come out . Bring to doctor .

It’s common .. you have to clean it everyday. Use antiseptic wipes and powder to heal faster .
