My cervix is 2cm dilated now and baby has not engaged yet. May I know how long more I will go into actual labor? I am in 38weeks now.

I think it will be different for everyone. My friend was in a similar situation and went into labour after almost two days. I think you can try timing your contractions. Here are some characteristics of labour contractions: - Contractions come at regular intervals, gradually getting closer and closer - Each contraction lasts about half a minute to over a minute - Contractions get stronger over time - Contractions persist despite lying down or resting - You can feel the contractions in other parts of your body like the back - You have contractions and your water has broken As a guide, if you experience regular contractions every 10 mins or less, it is time to head to the hospital as you are likely going into labour.

Hmmm quite hard to say with just those indicators. Do you have any other signs? Like your water broke or a bloody show? Those would be a more helpful in predicting actual labour.
