whopping cough vaccine

Any mums took whopping cough vaccine? Not really keen on to it.. does it really matter?

I believe it is a relatively new recommendation for pregnant mums. However as it does confer passive immunity to baby, good to have as it would help baby. Newborn immunity is all from mummy, and it is estimately to protect bb for about first 6 months of life before his own immune system develops.
