Breast pumps

Hi mums! Would like to seek advice and recommendations for breast pumps. Currently I’m looking at Spectra vs a China brand breast pump (for cost saving). I’m a first time mum so haven’t used breast pump before. Would it be too big a risk to take if I went straight for the China breast pump? Specs are pretty good, anti-backflow, BPA-free components etc. If you’ve other recommendations please let me know too! Thank you :) #advicepls

Getting a cheap one will be fine. Just don’t get a second hand one ok :) I rather u get a cheap new China one then get a second hand. I rather u get a cheap working pump then a second hand pump ok! Cheap doesn’t mean no good. Anyway most Impt is measure ur nipple size so u get the correct flange size. The LC can measure for u :)

I’m using pigeon portable breast pump. It’s good too. Not sure if you have already delivered, if you haven’t maybe you might want to wait till after you have deliver then you buy the breast pump. I have friends who bought breast pump before delivering but did not use in the end because they did not have breast milk

Thank you! I haven’t delivered, now around 5th month. But it’s my first pregnancy and I was wary about spending much on Spectra (was looking at S1+ in case I don’t have enough milk) but also was worrying what if I spend that big an investment on the breast pump and I just can’t get my supply up anyways 😅 Thanks for your advice!

I have yet to deliver but i also bought 1 cheap one cs the review on shopee all like good only. Maybe after delivery if i really need a heavy duty breastpump then ill get the spectra.

I’m using baby express be nude pump and horigen portable pump too. Both works well for me! 👌🏼👌🏼

Babyexpress works well for me and I find it more affordable than most brands. I used Babyexpress BeFree.
