Epidural Placement

Hi mummies, wonder if we can opt for sedation (The type where you dk what's going on and forgets the procedure) while having epidural placement ? Anyone done that before?

Best to discuss with your gynae on your preferences. I've seen mummy who opt for sedation with epi during c-sect as they are too afraid to be awake and feel nothing. Some regretted this decision as they felt they didn't get to witness the skin to skin during c-sect. Some was given sedation as they have other medical procedure to perform during c-sect. Ultimately choose what's comfortable for you since delivery is a personal journey and no other opinions should affects your decisions.
