Dr John Tee at KKH or Dr Adrian at TMC
Hi mummies, I’m having dilemma in choosing between Dr John Tee at KKH private and Dr Adrian at TMC. Normal delivery and single bedded room. Can share your experiences?

I recently transferred from Dr Adrian to Dr Tee due to gross negligence and later intimidation. I am so far having a good experience with Dr Tee, I feel safer with Dr Tee, and also grateful for him to take my case after 36 weeks. Under Dr Adrian, I was complaining of itchiness all over my body and he kept dismissing me saying it is allergies. He only ordered bloodtests after I insisted, upon reading my symptoms on google. The test was done on Friday months, clinic received report on Friday evening, but they only called me on Tuesday. That too when his clinic is open on both Saturday and Monday (morning and evening). After that he just wrote me a letter and asked me to rush to KKH. That’s when I found out that my liver enzymes were dangerously high and risen by 25% more by Tuesday. They immediately got me admitted, ran all kinds of tests on me and baby (I was about 35-36 wks then). I had developed obstetric cholestasis which can also harm the baby. When they discharged me after 3 days, I was asked to come back every alternate day for monitoring categorized as high-risk. They mentioned if I medication would have started on Friday or earlier, it would not be so high to become a concern. When I went back to Dr Adrian with my report the next day, he asked where I will deliver, so I told him that depends on what the monitoring reveals. If they need me to go through emergency delivery I would have no choice. That’s when he seemed annoyed and started saying that he can do the delivery on the same day (36 weeks). I showed concern that it will be premature, that’s when the intimidation began saying all kinds of negative outcomes possible. But without any scientific justification. We kept asking why he thinks so, but nothing logical came out of his mouth. Scared us so much that we almost delivered on that day. Then we asked him for some time to think. He gave us 15 mins to go out and decide. When we didn’t return in 15 mins, his clinic started calling us. We said we need some more time. Then the Dr himself called me asking yes or no! I just wanted to think, maybe consult another doctor for second opinion, because KKH explained to me that they were able to control the situation and they will be monitoring and would advise delivering only on 38 weeks unless there’s an emergency. So finally we decided to move to KKH, under Dr Tee. So far I don’t have much to say about him, I haven’t delivered yet, but so far our experience has been good.
