Baby is on smaller side

Hi mummies, I’m currently week 36 and baby is only 2.1kg. Baby has always been on the smaller side (around 15-20 percentile) but this week’s scan is only around 5th percentile. Doctor say don’t have to worry too much since me and my hub are quite petite as well. Any mummies who are also experiencing this and what can i do so that baby grows more? #advicepls #FTM

My baby came out at 2.6KG (2.8KG on scan) at 40.3 weeks. My gynae highlighted at week 32 that baby was on the smaller side and asked me to try and put on weight. I spammed a lot of egg whites, chicken breast (I don’t take beef, otherwise you can try beef), avocados daily. Bbt maybe 2-3 times a week (gynae asked me to go and spam all the coke and calories lol 😂). Baby increased about 200G a week. Baby came out fine and healthy, just on the smaller side. Even at 21m now, she’s only 9.2KG.

My bb also came out on 5th percentile, even after spamming durian and avocados. Now he is on 95th percentile, fully on bm. Don't worry, bb will gain weight when bb grows. What matters is bb is healthy.

Try eating more eggs and avocado. Protein in general. I ate it everyday during my last trimester as baby wasn’t growing enough. Gave birth to my LO at 2.99KG

my doctor advised to induce the baby at 37wks and baby was 2.1kg at birth. Had growth restriction and hence had to be induced.
