Single Light weight stroller or double stroller

Hi mummies. I need recommendation for an affordable light weight stroller to fit nb to qt least 3 yrs as i wish to get 1 for my helper. Need to be easy to use esp on public transport since she will fetch my toddler from school with my newborn. Any advice on which stroller will be recommended? Or should i get double stroller? She has to take a bus though.
