Herpes simplex

Hi mummies, may I find out if herpes simplex will be developed if I did not have any stds or other complications etc during pregnancy? I just finished 1 week of confinement and the doc mentioned that I didn't get enough rest and is too stressed and it triggered the development of herpes simplex. Is this curable? I'm very afraid and have been dumping all my breast milk away.

Yes, you may breastfeed with precautions. There is no cure for herpes simplex. However, there are some ways to reduce the frequency from reoccur such as improve stress management and maintain strong immune system.
