How often to sterilise pacifier

Mummies how often do you sterilise pacifier when ur baby was 4 mth old? I steam sterilise them once a day. Is it too often? How do i clean pacifier if i do not want to sterilise them too often? With soap or is rinsing with hot water fine?

Hot water might damage the pacifier. I only use baby safe liquid cleanser to wash the accessories and hang to dry on the drying rack. I alternate between 2 pacifiers so that I don't have to wash too often. I didn't buy steriliser
