No self soothing response by 2 month old

Hi Mummies, My baby boy is 2 month old now and he doesn’t have any self soothing technique developed. He never sucks his thumb to self soothe himself. Is that normal ? I have read that at this age babies start to self soothe themselves by sucking their thumb. Can anyone share their experience? #firstbaby #firsttimemom

Yeah it is common, my 3 months old self soothe with pacifier (when needed) or will play with her small pillow/blanket.
