insect bites remedy and prevention

hi mga mamsh, please recommend naman ng ointment or lotion or kahit ano remedy na ginagawa nyo for insect bites kay lo. ung effective sana and safe for a 10month old. ano rin ang gamit nyo for protection. thank you in advance mga momsh. have a nice day.
