It may indicate some condition present like polyps in the womb. This can cause severe menstrual pain, other than consuming cold stuff/drinks just before or during menstruation. If not due to consuming cold stuff and the pain persists for a few menstrual cycles, better to consult ur gynae and have an ultrasound scan check-up for assurance.
