Is it normal for new borns to have urinary track infection (UTI)?? and how can when prevent it as new borns are highly dependent on breast milk?

About 8 percent of girls and 2 percent of boys will have at least one urinary tract infection during childhood. Before the age of 1 year, though, UTIs are more common in boys than girls. If you're breastfeeding, continue until your baby is at least 7 months old, if possible. Studies have shown that nursing for this long may protect against UTIs. If your baby has started eating solid foods, introduce more fruits, vegetables and whole grains into his or her diet so they will be less likely to be constipated. Constipation can lead to UTI. If your baby is a girl, avoid harsh soaps and bubble baths (which can irritate her genitals).
