Fact or myth: Newborns won't develop independence if you pick them up every time they cry.

They are newborns and it's not the time to teach them independence yet. Newborns need attention, love bonding and safe arms (mother's especially) since they was 10 months in the womb. Letting a newborn crying too often and too long can cause colic in babies and SID (Sudden infant death).
