In my experience, they told me that it is best to be in the hospital rather than in lying in clinics so that if ever there are labour complications, the hospital staff will be able to do full service for you. However, in my case, due to low funds, and at the last days of my pregnancy, the lying in staff let me in to have my baby born in their clinic because I was already in labour. I was able to do normal birth procedures, and since it was a community clinic (public clinic), I only paid P50.00 for the full service.
