Feelings of uneasiness, unsure & not good about myself. Is this common during pregnancy?

I'm in week 18, and recently, my mood seems to swing towards feeling uneasy, being unsure, and not feeling good about myself. It comes and goes, and I don't feel like that when I'm in my 1st trimester. Just wondering if this is common during pregnancy and will eventually go away, or it could lead to more serious issues such as postnatal depression? Anyone can sure their experience?

Yes it can happen. All my pregnancies (currently expecting my 3rd) I felt certain feelings and have thoughts on and off. It can happen, due to hormones and also sometimes the anxiety of being pregnant, expecting a child, or trying to juggle several things happening at once. Though it can be common, I wouldn’t just take it lightly and let it be. Speak to someone about it, your close friend, spouse (if he is largely around and supportive), family, and your gynae. My gynae would check in at every appt to make sure I was ok, recommended activities to take the thoughts out of me, as she did mention it could be the onset or lead to prenatal depression.

I felt this way before too.. even felt suspicious too. Find someone (eg friends of family) that you trust to share this feeling or do something light that you like eg: listen to music or read books to ease off this negative feeling.
