I'm in my third trimester, is it too much to not go back to my parent's place in Malaysia to celebrate Chinese New Year? Moving around is hard... =(

I agree with Jamie. Plus if you are travelling via car or bus, traffic jams at the checkpoints will be massive during the festive season. You don't want to be heavily pregnant and feeling uncomfortable in a vehicle during one of those jams. And if you fly, you need to get doctor's letters to certify that you are fit to fly. Most airlines are very insistent about this. Explain to your parents, if it's for the safety of their grandchild and daughter, I'm sure they'll understand.

I wouldn't suggest it if you have trouble moving around. I'm sure your parents will understand that your baby is more important than visiting during Chinese New Year. You could always bring your baby there or fly your parents over?

thanks
