Flight with 1 year old baby

If I didn't book a seat for my baby on the flight, it means that baby will be sitting on my lap correct? Does the airline provide any seat belt for babies? Sorry, first time travelling with baby and so lost.

Most airlines will provide infant seatbelts. My recent experience was the airline did extra mile to block the middle seat and allow the baby sit between the parents, meaning the baby gets her own individual seat!

Which airline r u taking? I know for sq they will give u infant seatbelt.
