Dating scan advice

I really want to avoid having a transvaginal scan if possible. It sounds really scary. If I see a gynae at week 7-8, would I be able to avoid it?#firsttimemom

I did mine for 5 and 9th week scan. Didn’t feel any pain at all! Initially I was scared because of what I’ve been reading online but was really surprised it wasn’t painful at all. The TVS looks long but only a few inch would go in, they’d also put lots of lube so it was quite okay. Don’t know if it’s just me but I actually prefer it than the ultrasound because I find the pressure from the ultrasound more uncomfortable and they can’t seem to see baby so clearly especially when tummy is gassy/constipated. 😅 anyway, don’t be so worried! It’ll be fine.
