cervix bleeding at wk 14

I m in late week 14 n suddenly this morning i had fresh blood bleding. I was freak out n rush to hospital. They checked n the baby is fine. Dr said might due to increased blood flow to cevix n vessels burst...she open up to see inside n even poke one n alot blood came out. I was really scared! Anyone has this before? Will it happen again? Anything i can do to avoid it? Thx !
