Hi... if you already have a CDA account you can deposit cash instantly. If I’m not wrong Government only top up their portion once a year on the child’s birthday. You can find out more information from the banks that you have CDA account with

you can top up till your child is 12 year old capped at 3k. you do not need to top up all 3k at 1 go. personally I'm depositing 100 per month as the we are financially tight. Government will deposit the amount with 10 days
