Portable pump vs hospital grade pump

Can I ask if getting a hospital grade pump is necessary? Would using a portable pump suffice? My milk output is low, hence wondering if getting a hospital grade one would improve.

it's advisable to breastfeed ur baby on demand . but if its due to medical condition or baby having difficulty in latching. try to pump every 3 hourly until you milk is established that include waking up in the middle of the night too.. and makesure your pump flange size is not too big or too small.

I've been latching on demand, and I pump to keep track of how much milk baby can drink during each feed. Also pumping to build up supply cause I heard that helps, although its not really working.
