Uv sterilise & wash pacifier

Do i always need to wash & uv sterilize baby’s steriliser? Or only wash if it falls on the floor or something

I wash and UV sterilize everyday once used for a few hours. If drop on floor (at home) I use boiled water to rinse and continue using.
