For pregnancy beyond 13 weeks, the process usually requires a short hospital stay. Tablets are inserted into the vagina every few hours to cause a "mini labour”. After the pregnancy is delivered, a surgical procedure is sometimes required to suck out the remaining products of conception. An unwanted pregancy after 24 weeks cannot be terminated.
