How does baby drink water in blw?

Some of my friends offer drinks in a straw cup along with the meal and during snack times. Will take awhile before baby gets the hang of it and some said that it is common for baby to not be interested in drinking from the straw cup/bottle.

Most of my friends let their babies use either a sippy cup or a normal plastic cup. The former when they are out and about while the latter is used when they are at home, so messes can be cleaned easily.

offer water during and after meals. we jumped straight to open cup with both of my blw kids. i also gave them a baby sign for water so they can tell me when they want water, milk or food
