Children share things with their parents because they feel that it’s important and they want to bond with their parents. The most you can do as parents is hear them out

I always try to be interested as that way I am able to understand their minds and hence able to better bond with them

It’s important to listen to your child as they may not want to talk very much when they’re teenagers!

I will usually say, hold on. Later i will speak to you about this alright. Im now busy with something

Always try to entertain. If I’m too tired I’ll just try to be nice and tell them I need to rest

Tell them why, or ask that they wait for the right time; its part of training social etiquette

I always show interest in what they say , or I try to distract them to do something else

I always make a point to listen...even if the topic is of no interest to me...

When it’s time to give them I give my full attention

Just distract them with tasks and other topics
