You can try essential oils: 1) Tea tree oil: either mix three to five drops of tea tree oil to every ounce of shampoo, or combine three tablespoons of carrier oil—like olive or coconut—with a teaspoon of tea tree oil and apply for 30 minutes 2) Neem oil: 8-10 drops of the essential oil can be added to one ounce of regular shampoo and left on for 20 minutes You can also use vinegar as acidic makeup breaks down the glue-like substance that adheres the nits to the hair: Mix 50ml of vinegar with 50ml of water and use as a rinse.

Medikar and olive oil are 2 known solutions to me. Medikar as known doesn't remove it overnight. It requires multiple usage. You can try olive oil. It is thought to be an excellent smothering agent. Lice supposedly suffocate and die when the ooze plugs their breathing holes, but it needs to be applied overnight under a shower cap because lice can survive without breathing for hours. You'll also have to comb to remove nits, but the olive oil should help loosen them from the hair shafts.

You can use Mediker shampoo for her. This is an effective way to get rid of the lice. After shaming the hair and washing it off, comb the hair with the comb having thin teeth. All dead lice will come off the hair. Repeat the cleaning twice a week. http://www.stylecraze.com/articles/anti-lice-shampoos-available-in-india/ http://www.webmd.com/children/features/what-do-when-your-child-has-head-lice http://www.health.com/health/gallery/0,,20641598,00.html#ad-3

Hi, you can mix two 4 tbsp olive oil with fifteen to twenty drops of tea tree oil. Use cotton balls to put the concoction on your child’s scalp. Rub it thoroughly (although gently) into the scalp. Let the mixture stay on your kid's head for minimally twelve hours. In the morning, comb out your child’s hair. Then wash it. Hope it helps.

If your child does have head lice, you can try using a lice comb. You can those at Guardian or Unity pharmacy. This article has other suggestions for treatment like using tea tree oil and coconut oil: http://sg.theasianparent.com/get-rid-of-the-head-lice-in-your-childs-hair/

You can get shampoo for lice or use tea tree oil (which should help with the itch). If it's really bad you can consider shaving you child's head. Remember to practice good hygiene and don't share combs/towels etc!

I read this article you might find it interesting https://janabebe.com/en/blog/what-can-we-do-to-put-off-lice.html

I have heard of many home remedies, but nothing has worked better than medicated shampoo for my kids.

Thanks. Is there any way to stop the itch? My child didn't sleep well last night because of the itch.
