How to use silverette

Question

FTM, recently just bought nipple silverette.How do i use it ? Do i just put it on my nipples and leave it till next feeding/pumping? Or do i leave it only for few minutes.Some say can put abit of breastmilk on the silverette then wear it but wouldnt it spill on your bra ? And whats the logic of using silverette to help with sore/cracked nipple ? #FTM

It’s used to prevent further friction of your nipples rubbing against your clothing to cause further pain. I personally never used silverettes before but a disposable breast pads works equally well. Can leave it on till next pump/feed until your nipples recovered from cracks. For the part where you mentioned putting breastmilk on silverette, I think they meant you can rub some bm on your nipples then put on the silverettes.
