Hi Mummies, when does ur gyane check for cervix dilation/effacement during weekly visits? I'm 37+3

Hello, FTM here..i was told by some that their OBGYN starts to check for dilation or effacement during weekly checkups towards end of 3rd tri (36/37wks onwards). Is this usual practice? Thankyou! #firsttimemom #advicepls

Yeah about between 36 weeks to 40 weeks (depends on gynae/doctor), they will check for dilation, position of baby if fully engaged. Mine was check at 38 weeks and after was 40 weeks with membrane swab. Despite the dilation, I only give birth 1 week later through induce.
