First trimester during CNY

Hello! Freshman mummy here! CNY is coming, can I eat yusheng or not ah? I know raw salmon is a no-no but how about the yusheng itself? Can share tips on how yall will navigate pregnancy kpo conversations during cny without revealing you’re pregnant, but not also intentionally denying your baby’s existence? Hahaha thank you!

I ate raw veg, salad throughout my pregnancy as it was one of the few food I can stomach during my first trimester. I'm now in my third trimester and baby is well. Just need to make sure it's cleaned thoroughly. If you order the raw veg, make sure it's from a reputable store. But I wouldn't eat the Yusheng if it's raw salmon Yusheng since it might be cross contaminated even if you don't consume the fish itself.

I guess the ingredients seems safe.. So I intend to eat yusheng without the raw fish. As for "hiding" the pregnancy, perhaps you can say that you're hoping for the blessing of one too and you are prepping your body to get adjusted to conceive.. Then just end the convo there? 🤭 normally people won't probe after that..

i did read up about no raw veg too, hence gonna avoid yusheng too. plus the plum sauce etc is quite sweet, which you might wanna avoid consuming too much too. at most is kiap abit on plate, pretend to eat, but after that pass to your husband to eat for you?

Raw veggies are not recommended. But depends on how conservative you are :)
