Anyone switch from private to govt at 34 weeks?

Hi everyone, i’m considering to deliver at govt hosp instead of private due to unexpected financial situations. I will be 34 weeks in a few days’ time and have been seeing a private gynae since the start of this pregnancy. Can any mummies share their experiences of switching to govt and how to do it? Do I walk in polyclinic to make an appointment? Pls help a mummy out, thank you!!

Im not sure if u still can choose a gynae in govt hosp coz previously i was seeing pte gynae while waiting for the govt hosp apptment. Apparently was then told that after 20 wks i cannot switch to the private gynae in govt hosp… mayb others can i not sure…

I believe shouldn't be a problem. Just visit the polyclinic quickly to get a referral and let them know your situation. Unless you want to go for private in government then call the hotline.
